About Westcoast Dietetics


What Westcoast Dietetics will do
:

    Complete individual assessments and customize nutritional care plans outlining therapeutic dietary needs (includes management of diabetes, heart disease, chewing and swallowing disorders, electrolyte imbalance, weight control, food allergies/intolerances and eating assistance guidelines) and revise upon changing needs.

    Participate in client care conferences with the inter-disciplinary team and client families.

    Conduct presentations with the focus on wellness and education.

    Participate in facility policy and procedure development including bowel, wound care and  dysphagia management.

    Provide a thorough menu evaluation in comparison to current nutritional guidelines and client choices.

    Implement an on-site nutrition and food service audit program.
    Provide strategies to improve meal time management and the operation of food services.

    A Dietitian can be on-site as needed; be it 2 days a week, 2 days a month or upon request/referral.
